Cookies Policy
ai-sherpa.io sets no cookies. It keeps one short-lived entry in your browser to cache our video list, and your browser contacts Google to load fonts and, if you open the videos, YouTube.

Who we are
This policy covers ai-sherpa.io, run by AI Sherpa Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202639805D), a company in Singapore. It explains which cookies and similar technologies the site uses and what information they involve. We wrote it with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) in mind. How we handle personal data more broadly is set out in our Privacy Policy.
What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store and send back on later visits. Similar technologies include browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), tracking pixels and scripts that fetch content from other companies' servers. Some of these store information on your device; others send information, such as your IP address, to a third party when the page loads.
Cookies we set
None. The site is a set of static pages (the home, About, News and policy pages) served from Amazon Web Services (S3 and CloudFront). Our servers send no cookies, and our pages do not write any. We run no analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and the site has no forms or embedded frames.
Our domain's DNS is hosted on Cloudflare in DNS-only mode, so Cloudflare does not handle your traffic to the site and sets no cookies on it.
Browser storage we use
The home page keeps one entry in your browser's session storage after you open the list of recent videos, so the list does not have to be fetched again while the tab stays open.

The list works without this entry; it only saves your browser from asking YouTube again each time you reopen the list in the same tab. It is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Requests to other companies
Google Fonts. Every page loads the Archivo and Newsreader typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). To fetch them, your browser sends Google your IP address and standard browser details, such as the browser type and the site that asked for the font. Google states that the Fonts API does not set cookies; see Google's Fonts privacy FAQ.
YouTube, only if you open the videos. When you click “Watch recent videos” on the home page, your browser calls the YouTube Data API (www.googleapis.com) for the list and loads thumbnail images from YouTube's image servers. Both requests go to Google and include your IP address and browser details. Nothing is requested from YouTube until you click. If you then open a video or our channel, youtube.com loads in a new tab under Google's own cookie and privacy terms.
Our own news file. The News page loads its items from a file on our own domain (/insights-news.json); no other company is involved.
Outbound links. Some pages link to other sites, such as science.org from the About page and youtube.com. Those sites have their own policies, which apply once you follow the link.
Why there is no cookie banner
The site sets no cookies, and its one session storage entry holds nothing about you and never leaves your browser, so there is nothing to ask your consent for. If we add any, such as analytics, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent before they run.
How to control them
- Your browser settings let you block or delete cookies and site data. Clearing the site data for ai-sherpa.io removes the session storage entry above; closing the tab does the same.
- If you do not open the videos list on the home page, your browser makes no requests to YouTube from our site.
- You can block third-party fonts with your browser or a content-blocking extension. The pages still work and fall back to system fonts.
Changes to this policy
If the site starts using a new cookie, storage entry or third-party service, we will update this page and the date at the top.
